Jesserey is a Hawaii born filmmaker, raised in Las Vegas, NV. His first attempt at directing was in 2015 where his short film, "The Walk", unanimously won the award for Cinematic Storytelling at the Final Cut Film Festival in San Francisco, CA.
At the age of 11, Jesserey began writing stories, heavily influenced by his classmates at the Catholic middle school he attended in Las Vegas. After high school, Jesserey began to work as a caretaker within the healthcare profession; ultimately, becoming a Healthcare Administrator. However, at 25 years old Jesserey left a promising career in healthcare to pursue a lifelong dream of storytelling.
Jesserey has produced, written, directed, and edited various short films, music videos, and documentaries. Whether it's a story about a young man dealing with terminal illness or a vagabond junkie, Jesserey's stories curtail one's search for identity. Quite fitting for the Filipino-American writer/director.
